Camping for the 24th

This year we went camping with the Holmes family (my immediate family anyway) minus Brit in Manti Canyon. Neither me or Jordan had been there before so it was a lot of fun to experience it. We spent the majority of the time riding four-wheelers up and down the trails and dodging the roaming cattle that were walking around. Yeah there were free-roaming cows in that area which scared the crap out of me. As part of a family who used to own many cows, I know how mean they can be, especially when babies are around, which there were. ANYWAY, it was still a blast with only a couple minor disasters hahaha. The first was I was an idiot and rode the four-wheeler the first night with my hair down...by the time I got back you would have thought I had dreads by how matted it was. Then the second night, Sadie was doing a trick for Elise and landed in one of our citronella candles we had on the ground to keep the bugs away. Yeah, wax all on the underside of her body and all four legs. THAT was a mess. Took two days for me to get that stuff off...it's a good thing I love her so much. :)
Here are some pics for ya. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of us ON the four-wheelers, I was too busy riding them! haha But I snapped a few pics of us at the campground and some pretty scenic ones as well.

We found this cute little stream where beavers were building dams and had these cute little houses made for themselves. We got to see a little peak of one for a sec, but not long enough for me to get a picture of him. It was such a pretty area!

A view from one of the trails.

Jordan eating the biggest smore you've ever seen. My mom bought marshmallows the size of my fist...no joke. Pretty hilarious.

This picture has a pretty funny story behind it. I don't know if you notice a sock draped over a log and his shoe on the other side of the fire pit. Well, Jordan and my dad went on a wild trail and had to come back to our campsite through water so his foot got drenched. So when he got back he put everything by the fire and was just sitting there with one shoe on and the other foot barefoot. It was hilarious and he now has the nickname of Hobo Joe. hahaha

I love my husband and family. We had a lot of fun. :)
