So me and Jordan have been planning for months on taking a week off for our anniversary and it finally came! Oh my goodness, it was so nice to have the time off of work to do whatever we wanted and relax. We decided to head down to St. George and stay in my grandparent's home there, which was great because we didn't have to pay for a hotel that way! We had the house all to ourselves. Since the weather was in the 100's, we didn't do a whole lot as far as outdoor activities which was a little disappointing, we did want to get some hiking in, but we got to eat at a lot of really great restaurants and just enjoy being out of town for a while. We got calzones from the Pizza Factory, cooked together at home, ate at the Painted Pony for lunch on our anniversary and then ate dinner at the Anasazi restaurant which was expensive, but awesome! I loved the food there. You can actually request that your meat be brought out on a 700 degree stone so that you can cook it to your liking. Pretty much they cook it to rare and you finish it. It was cool. I had a fillet Mignon with scallops and Jordan had ostrich. Oooh and we had cheese fondue as an appetizer, it was sooo yummy. Jordan also cooked us breakfast for our anniversary too! That day, after dinner, we really wanted to watch Wolfman because neither one of us had seen it yet, so we looked everywhere. You would think there would be video stores all over the place, but no. We checked every redbox even, and nothing. So finally we stop by this random no-name grocery and found it in there to buy. That little adventure was hilarious. So we went back and watched it. It was okay. Nothing amazing...but it made for a fun night! The next day we went and ate at a Thai and Sushi place which was awesome too. My new favorite sushi roll is the Philly role! Try it! :)

We got to watch cable! We don't have cable at home, so it was nice to be able to relax and watch a little while we were there. Sadie was enjoying some lazy time too haha.

(That's my dinner at the Anasazi. This picture doesn't make it look that great, but it was. The meat just melted in my mouth it was so yummy. And that stone had my meat sizzling the whole time it was so hot!)

Eating lunch at the Painted Pony.

Here's the pony! We thought it was a very odd pony indeed.

Happy anniversary to us!

Jordan making us breakfast!

After being in St. George for about 5 days we decided that we were ready to come home. Once we were home, we still wanted to take avantage of our time off work, so we decided to go mini golfing for old time's sake. Our first two years of dating we mini golfed more than you will ever know. I just loved it and Jordan really liked it at first, but I wore it out for him, so we stopped for years. It had been like four or five years since our last mini golf competition so we decided we needed to get some golf in. For some reason we took a million pictures while we were there, but I'll just post a couple of them.

Then we went to redbox twice that night and rented Shutter Island and Edge of Darkness. Shutter Island was worth at least one watch, but we were able to predict the movie, so that disappointed us. But Edge of Darkness was good! We didn't expect much from it so we were pleasantly surprised. Friday we went to see Shrek Forever After in 3D. That was great! We are fans of the Shrek movies..except the third one, I don't know who dropped the ball on that one? This new one is great though. We laughed pretty good and it was just good old Shrek. :) And 3D is awesome too. We are highly considering getting one of those 3D capable TV's. Saturday was a blast too. We have a friend in town from Cali, so we decided to get a bunch of friends together and go to the Asian Festival at the South Town Expo Center. That was ok, they could have done a better job in my opinion, but it was still fun to get together with friends and hang out. Afterwards, we did a BBQ at our house. We seriously had so much food. We were all sick after eating because there was so much good food to choose from! I didn't get any pictures this day because I was too busy having fun! Oh well! Now today is Sunday and we are just going to take it easy since we both have to go back to work tomorrow after having all of this wonderful time off. Vacations always make it so hard to go back to work! But it's ok, because we had a seriously good week. :) Happy wedding anniversary number two to us!
