V-Day

Valentine's this year was very fun and simple. We celebrated for the most part on Saturday. That morning, we decided to go to our local recreation center in West Jordan and get memberships so we can start working out with their equipment and also use their pool to swim laps! (My favorite part. I love water.) So we did that, worked out a little, then went home and got ready to go out. We decided to go eat at the Mayan this year. We haven't been there in a several years because the last time we went there, the food was served cafeteria style and was still cold half the time. Gross. Before they started the cafeteria style it had a different owner and that's when me and Jordan used to go ALL the time during our first and second years of dating. We seriously went on a regular basis. I just loved it because I felt like I was at Disneyland or something like that every time I was there. It's just such a fun atmosphere and the food is alright. You mostly go for the atmosphere. :) Ashley this is the restaurant that I wanted to take you to and it was closed! Now that I've been there again...and it's good again, you will have to try it for sure next time you come up here! It's great. I tried to take a few pictures...but my camera was dead so you get the Iphone pictures...and some of them are a little dark I apologize, but the restaurant is dark, so not much I can do about that.

(Super blurry, sorry! Blame Jordan!)-- We were waiting to be seated.

(Ashley, this is the inside, where the water fall and divers dive, you can kind of see the pool at the bottom and to the bottom right you can see where some of the dining is. We sat super high in the "tree" this time so we had a fun view!)

(This is our Eruption Cake! So fun! The story behind us getting this is that when we used to come regularly years ago, I would always want to order one and convince Jordan that I would eat it, but I never could finish it, so he would end up having to! hahaha It's a really funny memory for me and Jordan, you probably had to be there to think it's funny. But it was always the same, I would tell Jordan that I was sure that I could finish it this time, and I always failed haha. But they are so fun! And yummy too...I was just too full by the time it came. So anyway, this V-day Jordan was like "we're ordering one and this time YOU have to finish it!" haha, that still didn't happen, but I ate a lot of it!)

(Then we finished the night with Margaritas and a movie.)-- Jordan wouldn't let me take a picture of him with his margarita because he said it would be too girly. haha! So sorry, there's pretty much just pictures of me on here!

Sunday we ate breakfast, watched another movie, and then enjoyed homemade french dips for dinner with peach cobbler for dessert! Yummy!! It was a VERY nice and relaxing day. Just what the doctor ordered.

Birthday week!

So this past week was pretty much the best week ever! It was a much needed break and FUN! Ashley decided to drive to St. George with a friend from Cali and then drive the rest of the way by herself to visit me! I'm so grateful! She is my bestest friend! :) I miss not being able to hang out with her all the time like we used to. It was really sad to see her go! But she came on a Tuesday and left Saturday, so we had a good couple days to hang out all day every day! I took work off and ditched class and everything. haha While she was here, we did lots of shopping, got pedicures (amazing), saw Avatar 3D (can I just say I love that movie?!), had sushi, where they forced me to learn how to use chopsticks...hahaha...about that...we ate tons of yummy food and made milkshakes! A tradition! I didn't take any pictures until the last night that she was here, DANG IT, but that's ok because I still had an awesome week!

(Seriously my two most favorite people in the whole wide world.)

(My SIH!) :)

I seriously had so much fun with her here! I really miss my best friend! California is just too far away...I'm thinkin she should move here. Yeah. Totally.

Since my birthday was on a Sunday this year, I just spent it at home with Jordie and then later with my family. It was pretty fun having the superbowl land on my birthday too! Made for a fun night! The whole day was fabulous. It started with breakfast in bed from Jordan. He even made it look so pretty I had to take a picture!

Yummy!!

While I was eating my breakfast, I decided to watch Never Been Kissed and didn't even end up getting out of bed until around noon. It was nice. :) After I got ready, me and Jordan made homemade guacamole together for the game! It turned out sooo good. I loved it. Then my family came over to watch the superbowl and then have presents and cake afterwards. It was so much fun. I just took a few random pictures of them while they were here. My parents brought their two dogs, and Brit brought her dog, so we had a full house! But it was great.

(Sadie doing what she does best. Begging daddy for food. haha)

(Jordan has our yummy guacamole in his mouth! haha, this picture makes me laugh)

*Sigh* What a great week. :)

Oh, also, a couple weeks ago, Jordan's best friend Mike and his wife Neomi's baby Hannah had her blessing day, so here's a few pictures from that as well. She is getting so big already! Such a cutie. It was fun to see Amber too! Don't get to see her very often anymore either. :(
