Today is a good day.

I got a good night's sleep last night.

The sun is shining.

I am wearing a pair of jeans today, that I couldn't wear a month ago. (YEAH!!)

Hershey came to work with me.

I'm having lunch with my mom.

Going to do P90X when I get home. (love it)

Eat dinner, pop popcorn, and watch LOST.

I love Wednesdays. :)

Happy Friday!

The weekend is here! I love and cherish my weekends. All of my jobs in the past have involved working on weekends. I am so so so happy to finally have a Mon-Fri. 9-5 type job! So grateful! I love having MY weekends. Such a wonderful thing.

Happy Friday everyone and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Random side note: In the last year, I have picked up the hobby of reading! I have never liked reading before in my life, but I'm starting to find that if I pick up the right book, I do in fact enjoy myself! I have so much more free time since I'm not in school anymore and this has been a fun thing I've developed! My mom has given me LOADS of books that she wants me to read, and a lot of them I'm enjoying so far! For all of you readers out there, any recommendations? What are your favorites?

So far, I have really enjoyed books by Jane Austen, Harlan Coben, Mary Higgins Clark, Nicolas Sparks, Stephenie Meyer (of course haha), and Shannon Hale. Oh and I just started reading the Harry Potter books. I have been putting them off since day one because I just didn't like to read. And then I started watching the movies and so I didn't want to read them because I already knew the basic story line. But I've been told over and over that I still need to read them, that the movies leave a lot out (which I don't doubt). So I'm starting Prisoner of Azkaban this weekend. So far the first two have been just like the movies to me, so hopefully this third one has some stuff in it that I don't already know!

Blessed

I just wanted to say how extremely grateful I am that me and Jordan both have jobs and a steady income... especially in this economy that we are in right now. We are so blessed and I am so grateful for it. I am so grateful to be able to be house hunting right now and to have the opportunity to do so. I know my post before this one sounded a little uptight and that's because I do feel that way sometimes. (I just had to vent for a minute. haha) I apologize if I sounded ungrateful because that is not the case at all. After looking for a year to buy a house, you can start to get a little frustrated. The process is a long one and requires lots of patience that I don't always have. That is something I am learning...patience. Jordan has been really great through all of it too. He seems to have more patience than I do. :) He is a very logical and smart person and I'm so grateful for that as well. I am so glad that we are a team because where I lack, he fills it. But like I said, I am extremely grateful for all that I have and for the opportunity to be able buy a house. It will be so nice when it's all said and done. All in all, I love my husband and the life he is building for us. I am so so grateful for everything and all of the opportunities that I have in my life. I really am truly blessed.

Tandrian Updates

So lately our lives have been jammed packed with things going on, but I haven't been posting on most of it because nothing is set in stone. I wouldn't want to be like "guess what everybody???" and then have to turn around and say "nevermind." haha So anyway, I will just give everyone some MINOR updates.

HOUSE HUNTING

First and foremost, we have been house hunting like crazy. I'm pretty sure most people know about this already, but it has been quite the adventure! Technically we have been looking for the last year, but in the last 7 months it has been really seriously. There have been a couple of homes we have liked, and then we change our minds. There have been two very difficult things about this process. 1)Jordan is so picky about everything. I love a lot of the homes we look at, and he's like NOPE. haha It's good though. He is thinking everything through and looking at it from every possible angle because this is a VERY big decision. So I can't blame him. :) 2)The market is HORRIBLE right now. Why you ask? It seems like a total buyers market right now, I know. But in Utah anyway, it is a pain in the ass. Pardon my French. Just about every single home we have looked at has been a foreclosure home. Meaning it is bank owned. NOT FUN. I think we have looked at a total of two homes that are not bank owned right now. Sheesh. A word of advise for future home buyers--try to find a home that is not bank owned. Mainly it is a pain to work with them because of the TIME it takes. They take FOREVER. Second, they are getting greedy right now with all the bail outs the government is giving them. So they want more for the houses. So lame. I'll give you a little example. We put a bid on a house about 2 months ago and the seller approved it within 24 hours (yes!) then it went on to the bank, (because it was bank owned) and almost three weeks later we get a counter offer for way more than we had bid. So we were like NO THANK YOU. They are wanting way too much for these houses because they are no longer desperate to sell them. Very frustrating. On a positive note, we now have a bid on yet another house so we'll see how this one goes. It is our most favorite house out of all the ones we have seen. It's in South Jordan. We are super excited about it. And Jordan loves it too which is amazing! :) The only problem with this house, is it's even more complicated. This house has TWO mortgages on it, so we now have to get TWO bank approvals. haha See, it's so much fun! :) Anyway, we have an approval from the first bank...now we are just waiting on bank number two. It's been almost a month since we put the bid on it, so hopefully we hear something soon! It's looking good, I just hope they don't counter offer with some ridiculous price! I think we are being very fair on our bid. Cross your fingers for us! :)

I can't wait to finally be in our own house! And then I can get a puppy that I've been waiting so long for since the place we are renting doesn't allow dogs! Woo!

P90X

Our second update is actually pretty cool! Nothing major, but fun for us! About three weeks ago, me and Jordan decided we were disgusted with ourselves. Before we were married, we were running all the time and going to the gym and stuff. But then after we got married, we got lazy. Both of us were getting out of shape and gaining some very unwanted weight. So since I do all the cooking, I changed our diet dramatically and Jordan no longer eats fast food for lunch at work. We also started doing the P90X work outs! Each disc works a different muscle group, it even has a yoga disc! Crazy let me tell you! BUT they work you so good. Jordan has already lost 20 pounds and I have lost 7!! Woo!! And it's only been three weeks! (Amazing how guys can just lose weight, huh?) So yes, the diet change and majorly intense work outs have definitely been paying off! We just feel so much better. P90X is a 90 day workout so we will let you know the before and after stats when that time comes! Both me and Jordan have the goal to lose at least 5 more pounds, so let's hope we can do it! After that, we just want to work on toning. We are going on a family cruise in August and so we really want to look good for that! Wish us luck!

EASTER

This Easter was a really laid back holiday for us this year. My whole family except us and Brit went on a cruise to Mexico (we couldn't get the time off work), so I just had Brit come over for dinner and a movie. We made Beef Stroganoff (one of my favs--want the recipe? let me know!) and then watched House Bunny. None of us had seen it yet. It was okay, we thought it would be better, but there were still some funny parts! I gave Jordan his first Easter basket from me and Brit a chocolate bunny.

So other than that, nothing is really new with us. Our lives consist of waiting to hear from banks, losing weight and watching Lost. That's it. haha But it's been fun and exciting and tiring. Keeping us VERY busy that's for sure! We have also been LOVING the sun!! It was stormy and raining all last week, and then BAM the sun came out. For the last couple days I have been wearing short sleeves! Yes!! I also planted flowers in my pot on my front porch again yesterday. I just love flowers, they make me happy. I love all the color. For spring, I have planted Pansies. They are so cute! I have both purple and yellow ones. So fun. :) (I can't wait to have a whole yard to plant in!!)

We hope everyone is doing well! We are loving life! (besides banks, haha)

Wicked

Last night me and my family went to see the broadway musical Wicked!! I have always been a fan of the music, because everyone in my family has seen it before, except me and so I have been listening to the soundtrack for years. But last night they came to Salt Lake and I finally got my chance to see the story behind the music and it was AMAZING. I think the singers sounded even better than the original cast that you hear on the CD's. They just did an incredible job. And now the music means so much more to me because I know what is going on! :) Below is a collage of images from the show. Probably my favorite broadway!

This next image is from my very favorite part of the whole play. Not only was it my favorite song BEFORE I saw the show, but it was the most amazing scene. She is singing Defying Gravity in this scene and it's so dramatic and full of emotion. I love it. It gave me chills just watching it. If you've never heard this song, you don't have to see the show to love it. It's just a beautiful and powerful song-- look it up! :) I also love the song As Long As Your Mine...so you can look that one up too!

I am so grateful I had the opportunity to see this show! It came at a good time too, this past week had me down and I needed the pick-me-up! I am even more obsessed with the music now than I was before! haha I highly recommend this broadway to anyone who ever has the chance to see it. These performers are so talented. It's amazing.

(Me and lise after it ended at Capital Theater.)

(I had to buy a shirt. On the back it says Defy Gravity.) :)
