Haunted House

For our Monday night activity I decided we were going to have some Halloween fun. So I bought a kit to make a haunted house! I know, we are total dorks, but it was fun. Jordan gave up half way through because the frosting was really hard to do anything with. But I kept going and Jordan was there by my side the entire time! (lol) There was SO much candy too....I almost didn't know what to do with it all, but I didn't want to waste it either, so I started getting creative. I took three pics: one from the front, one from the side, and back so you can see all of my pretty artwork. :) I know, I know, I'm so creative. I get that a lot. haha not! But it's ok, it was fun. I just love Halloween, so I have something planned every Monday until it's here for us to do! Wahoo!

Oh and by the way, on the front, there is a big black mass that you probably have no idea what is going on there....it is supposed to be a spiderweb...ha! The frosting was hard to draw with I swear! :) But the back is cute---you can actually read my "Boo" haha.

Birthdays all around!

Yesterday was a fun day for us. Within a three week span, there were three birthdays. First Jordan's, then my dad's, then Elise's. So we decided to have one big great family birthday party for all of them. There was dinner, cake and ice cream and gifts. It was great. I took a few pictures of all the birthday guys and gal. :)

Funeral

Yesterday was sad for me. I usually go visit my grandma with my mom on Wednesdays during my lunch breaks, but instead of going to visit her, I went to her funeral. That was hard to swallow. It was a beautiful funeral though. My mom spoke and she spoke of all of the wonderful things grandma has done for her and others all her life. She really was such an amazing woman. She was a tough woman too! 103! That's a long life! There was a wonderful duet sung in Norwegian also. I know Bestagrandma loved it. Then we went to the cemetery where she joined her beloved husband Ingo (who I know she is holding on to tight right now---just like she said she would), her daughter Lorraine, and granddaughter Shannon. We are all going to miss her. And I must admit, I'm still not used to the fact that she isn't here anymore. So it will take a while to get used to that, but I know she is overjoyed to be with her loved ones that she has been without for 20+ years.
It was so sweet. Her "second daughter" spoke and said that at the hospital a few days before she passed away, she was saying, "I love all of my family so much. Please tell them all how much I love them. I love all my grand children and great children all the same. But I love Ingo the most." It made us all laugh. Her and Ingo had the sweetest love story. I know she is so happy to be with him again, so I'm trying to be happy with her. :)
Till we meet again Bestagrandma.
Jeg elsker deg
