The best day ever---our wedding. :)

I do not even know where to begin about this day. June 7th was a wonderful morning! I was so grateful to see that it wasn't raining. (It had rained the whole week before.) Me, Brit, Ashley, Chelsea and the Wilcox girls all spent the night at Great America downtown so that we could be close to the Salt Lake Temple. I woke up first because I wanted to make DARN sure that I would be ready in time and looking as good as I could get! After Brit did all of our hair, I headed to the temple with my parents. (By the way, thank you SO SO much for doing my hair for my wedding. It turned out just the way I wanted it. It was beautiful.) Jordan and Mike were both at the temple already when I arrived. The moment I saw him there, I couldn't contain my emotions!! I was just so excited and ready for this to happen. I had happy, anxious butterflies going crazy in my stomach. I was also excited to get married in the temple and experience that. I know that Jordan was too. It was written all over his face. I'll never forget while me and Jordan were waiting to be taken back to the dressing rooms, I leaned over to him and asked, "Are you ready for this?" with a big smile on my face and he just said, "Yes, we are finally doing it. It's about time." haha After dating for six years, we were very ready for that moment!! We each took off our rings then (I gave Jordan's to my mom so she could hold on to it so I wouldn't lose it while I was doing all my changing and stuff and Jordan gave mine to Mike) so that we could exchange rings after the ceremony in the sealing room. After that we split, got dressed and went and got married. The wedding ceremony was such a special experience. My heart was so full of love and happiness---there are hardly the words to describe the feelings I had in that room. And when we put the rings on each other's fingers and gave each other a final kiss, it finally sank in and started to feel real. We were really married. We then got to change into our tux and wedding dress and come out of the temple to see all of our wonderful friends and family that were waiting for us. It was so fun to walk out those doors and hear everyone cheering for us. That was exactly how I was feeling inside! :)

After many hugs and kisses, we got together with the photographer and took so many wonderful, memorable pictures.

Jordan and I were just loving walking around the temple grounds as a bride and groom. It was our turn! :)

While me and Jordan were out taking pictures by ourselves, the rest of the crowd went out to eat lunch. After we were done taking pictures, me and Jordan had to lug all of our stuff back to Jordan's car. However, because it was such an eventful day for Jordan, he totally forgot where he parked. Mind you, he parked in an underground parking lot with like three or four different levels, so finding his car wasn't going to be such as easy task. So I told him to re-trace his steps from this morning (which was of course pretty much a blur to him), so we decided to just pick a level and start hitting the button on his keys to see if we could hear a beep anywhere. Luckily we went straight to the right floor and only ended up looking for his car for about 15 minutes. Thank goodness! We were laughing. THEN, as we were pulling out, he lost his validation ticket, couldn't find it anywhere, so what should have been free parking already, we had to talk the ticket guy into giving it to us for free. As he could see we were still in our wedding attire, he believed us and let us through. After that, we headed to my parent's house to make some quick sandwiches before having to start setting up for the reception. Me and Jordan were the first people at my grandparent's house to set up. How about that?! But we got straight to work so that it would be looking perfect in time. Finally, my family and other friends began showing up to help us finish setting up.

I was told before the wedding to just expect SOMETHING to go wrong. Luckily for me, nothing did!! I had a short panic when my flower lady arrived before my cake lady (my flower lady delivered not only my bridal party flowers, but she was to decorate my cake as well, so you see the problem), but the flower lady was just so sweet and said that she would wait for the cake to arrive. So she started helping us tie sashes around all the chairs! Some flower lady!! (by the way I recommend her to anyone getting married in Utah!) Finally, about 20 minutes later, the cake arrived so it wasn't too terrible. And the cake ended up looking GORGEOUS. It was simple and classy and very summery! Just how I pictured it!

After set up and the DJ got there, the rest was bliss! We took more pictures right before the reception started and the scenery was beautiful. I am so grateful to my grandparents!

After visiting and eating nothing but desserts me and Jordan had our first dance and Mr. and Mrs. Tandrian. We danced to Together Forever by Shai. Such a sweet and beautiful song. (Jordan picked it out and I LOVED it.)

After that we had lots of dancing and laughter. There was even a little bit of kareoke going on!! It was unplanned, but wonderful and so much fun!! Me and my sisters sang our traditional song of Dancing Queen by Abba followed by my sisters and Chelsea dedicating a song to me: Any Man of Mine by Shania Twain. It was hilarious.

Now for the most exciting cake cutting ever!! Me and Jordan had discussed before the wedding that we didn't want to be sissy about it and that we were going to smash each other good. We had known people who didn't want to get cake on their dresses and didn't want any cake smashing going on, but we decided this only happened once and we wanted to have fun with it!! Of course, I didn't know just how crazy it was going to get, but it was great!

After we hosed ourselves off, we enjoyed chatting, singing and dancing with everyone for the rest of the night. When we went to leave, we saw that Jordan's car was very well decorated. I won't mention everything that was on that car (LOL), but it was hilarious and we enjoyed it.

After cleaning off what was necessary to drive we drove off to spend our weekend at Anniversary Inn. They have fun themed rooms and we got to stay in the Jungle Safari room!! It was so neat--it even had a running waterfall! Very highly recommended if you living or plan on visiting Utah! Very fun and romantic experience! They have all kinds of fun rooms.
Anyway, our wedding was pretty much the wedding our dreams. It went over so smoothly and the weather ended up being just beautiful. The sun was out and the flowers were in bloom. Me and Jordan were just so happy to finally be getting married and spending the rest of our lives together. (and all eternity too!) :)

Rachelle I am so happy for you!! It sounds like your wedding was perfect! I'm just sad that I couldn't be there to celebrate with you! If money wasn't an object I would have been there for sure =) And I LOVE your hair shorter! I've always loved it long of course, but it's a fun change! You do look older and not in a bad way at all!! Love ya hun!

It looks like you and Jordan had a perfect day! I wished that John and I could have been there! You were a beautiful bride and Jordan, a handsome groom. And to have family and friends (minus John and I!) all around, what a blessing indeed. :)
A wonderful beginning to a wonderful life...
Love, Kristi
