And even more updates... :)

I'm finally getting around to catching up on my blog! Crazy how fast time flies by when you're crazy busy and having fun right?? Anyway, my last two posts were from the January through March, and so this one will be April through May for ya. Beware, there are many, many pictures to come. We've been busy. :)

April

*My flowers started coming up!! Last year I planted my first set of bulbs of tulips, and several kinds of daffodils. I'm going to be adding even more bulbs this year but I wanted to see how last year's would turn out. Don't they look so pretty?? I love them!!

*Easter!! It was a lot of fun this year! I coordinated an "adult" Easter egg hunt with my family on Saturday. We started out with a delicious brunch, and then had the hunt. It was so much fun. Then Sunday, I took the day off, wahoo!, making breakfast with Jordan, and then my family came over for dinner and dessert. I made a homemade carrot cake (gluten free of course) that was to die for!! You can make it gluten free or regular. Let me know if you want the recipe!

(Jordan's cousin Brad joined us on the egg hunt as well!)

May

*My mom graduated from the University of Utah!! After all these years, she finally went back to school and got her Bachelor's degree. GO MOM!!! I'm a proud daughter. :)

*I was offered a temporary (hopefully permanent soon) position in the Outpatient Clinics at Primary Children's Monday through Friday! I no longer have to work Sunday's and nights!! HALLELUJAH!!!!! That was seriously a happy day for me. Now I have a regular life and schedule again. For now anyway. I've applied for the permanent position, so hopefully they will call me for an interview soon!

*Our lease on our Subaru was up so we had to say bye bye! Now we are on the hunt for another car. So much fun, let me tell you. haha

*CHICAGO TIME!! Our latest adventure sent us to the windy city, Chicago. (May 26-29) I had to take my certification exam so that I can become an official licensed professional in my career. It's a big deal and I was SO nervous. I studied my heart out. The exam went ok...we'll see in a couple months when I get my scores back to see if I passed or not. It's going to be torture until then! But anyway, it gave me and Jordan a great excuse to take a long weekend and see Chicago! We also turned it into part of our anniversary since it's so close together anyway. It was a lot of fun. I've actually never been to Chicago before. Jordan has on business, but this time he got to play! We went to the aquarium, walked around the city for hours seeing where we would end up, we went to Navy Pier and went through the maze they had there which was hilarious, and ate a lot of great Chicago style food. We also took a ton of pictures. Hope you enjoy. :)

This first set of pictures is from one night just walking all over the city. We found the Chicago Tribune and NBC buildings, Northwestern College and all kinds of cool buildings as well.

Next are some photos from our journey to the aquarium. We walked the whole way and found a cool fountain and lots of parks along the way. As well as a lot of city buildings of course. :) We also stopped by a hot dog stand so Jordan could experience a Chicago style dog. We sat by Lake Michigan while he ate it. It was beautiful.

Now we are at the aquarium. We also headed over to the field museum afterwards, but it was closed. So Jordan got a picture outside of it, but that is all. Oh well...

Jordan hanging out in the lobby while we decide what to do next. :)

And now for Navy Pier. It's such a fun atmosphere. Jordan made me go through this maze with him that they had there. I was nervous about getting lost forever, but it ended up being hilarious and fun. Jordan enjoyed more food and I got to look at a cool lighthouse in the distance. We also found a funny statue that we both had to take turns posing by.

On our last night in Chicago, we got to see fireworks from our hotel that they were doing at Navy Pier. It was so much fun!

After many delayed flights and spending countless hours at the Chicago O'Hare airport, we finally made it back home safely. Since my parents were at Lake Powell, both my dog and their dog Duchess were in the dog kennel together so we went to pick them up and they have been crashed out on my couch since. So cute. They are just so happy to be home.

What a wonderful opportunity to travel and experience new things! Now let's just hope I passed my exam. ;)

That's all for now folks! Until next time... :)
