So I just realized it's been a couple months since I've blogged. But can I just tell you how CRAZY my life has been lately? Yeah, SO much has happened since my last post. I probably won't have time to even mention it all, so I'll just document some of them.
January:
*Applied for and was offered a job as a Child Life Specialist at Primary Children's Medical Center. WAHOO! :)

(My first day of work officially.)
*I was asked to temporarily work in the Emergency Dept. and the Rapid Treatment Unit until June when the full time person will be available since I've already had training in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which I LOVE. It's so fast-paced and exciting. I get to help my patients through all kinds of different procedures in these units and it's awesome. My favorite things about my job. I also have the opportunity to work in all of the units in the hospital to cover the unfilled shifts, as well as work at the Riverton extension of Primary's. (which is my absolute fav.- someday I hope to work full time there.) The only tough part about my current position in the hospital is since I have not been hired for a specific unit yet (I'm the all-over-the-hospital girl right now) is that my schedule is a bit hectic. I work days, nights, weekends...I work it all. And I hate that. I'm the type of person that needs consistency, such as having a set schedule every week. So now I'm praying that a position for a specific unit will open up soon that I can apply for. Just two weeks ago, I applied for a permanent position in the ED/RTU unit (which I'm already working in), except that I wasn't sure I even wanted it because it would require me to most likely work every weekend and nights, forever. So when I told them I wouldn't do that in my interview (I was hoping that there would be a chance they would hire me for a Mon. - Fri. position), I kind of knew that I wouldn't get the job. And I didn't. But that's ok, because can I just tell you that I work every single Sunday right now (for 12 hours) and it sucks. Luckily there is a short sacrament service held at the hospital that I am able to attend every week, but me and Jordan no longer have the opportunity to go together and that's tough. Plus, now we only have ONE weekend day together. And this bothers me, a lot more than I thought it would. So as soon as the new person gets here in June, I will no longer have to work these dreadful Sundays. I'll just keep crossing my fingers for a position to open up that's Mon-Fri and then I'll be a happy camper. :)On a happier note, I have the most amazing experiences at work. They really make me feel so grateful to have a happy, healthy family. I appreciate the little things in life so much more than I ever have before. I learn so much from my patients and their families. It's incredible. AND having the opportunity to go to church at work is amazing as well. I have never felt the spirit so strong in my life (besides my wedding day). The first Sunday that I attended, it brought tears to my eyes to see all of these patients and families making it a priority to attend and to watch little tiny kids walk in in their hospital pajamas, pulling their IV poles/oxygen, (etc.) around with them. It's so very touching. The people there truly are genuine members of the church who really know what it's like to experience trials and challenges. It is a very humbling experience.
February:
*My birthday! It was a fun day. I went to lunch with my parents and Elise at Olive Garden, then had a wonderful evening with my Jordan. We went to dinner, shopping and then saw the Tourist. Then came home and had cake and ice cream. Yummy! It was a perfectly relaxing day. Loved it. :)
*Valentine's Day! Since both me and Jordan had to work during the day, we were both pretty tired, plus we hate the crowds on this holiday, so we decided to stay home and cook an amazing dinner together. We ended the night with chocolates and snuggling while watching a movie.
March:
*Joshie's birthday was March 10th! I can't believe how big he's getting. Makes me feel old. haha
*Sadie turned TWO March 14th! I can't believe how the time is flying with her too! Seems like I just barely got my puppy girl. She is the light of my life. I look forward to her snuggles and kisses every day. She is always smiling. She is the happiest dog ever and just loves life. I am so grateful to have her in my life. She is such a loyal companion. I love her to pieces.

*I got my hair colored and cut again by Brit. I love it! I'm definitely loving the dark hair...think I'm gonna keep it this way for a while.

*I finished the Hunger Games series FINALLY. It's only taken me 5 months haha. And I've decided that I only like the first book. The second two suck. I hate the way it ends. She didn't end up with who I wanted her to. Katniss was a drama queen and drove me nuts. And the list goes on. The first book however, I could barely put down. It was awesome. But after that, I was just disappointed. I've heard many mixed reviews about these books. Some people LOVE all three. Some people just don't like the end of the last one. And then there's me who only liked the first book. Strange indeed. But I had to read all of them to form my opinion on them. What did you guys think of the series??
*I've gone Gluten Free. For about 5 years now, I've been having weird tummy issues. I was able to pin point certain foods that I knew made me sick, but other times it would happen randomly and I couldn't figure it out. Since I refuse to go to a GI doctor, I've been telling my dad about what's been happening and he has been suggesting for about the last year that I try going gluten free for a while just to see if it helps. Well three weeks ago I started a 100% gluten free diet trial to see what would happen. Secretly I was hoping it wouldn't work so that I could still eat whatever I want, but guess what? I got better. So as much as I miss my donuts and all those other goodies, I can no longer eat them if I want to feel good. Sucks royally, but now I know what the major problem has been for the last several years of my life. I have a gluten intolerance. I have not had any blood work done to see if I have Celiac Disease or not (most likely don't since it's hereditary), but I definitely have confirmed that I can't eat gluten. Oh well. At least I'm starting to feel so much better. So I guess it's worth it to give up some of the things I love. :)
*The most recent event for us was St. Patrick's Day! Yay! I love this holiday. We invited Jordan's best friend and his family over for a yummy St. Patty's day dinner. We started with guacamole and chips for an appetizer, then had DELICIOUS corned beef, cabbage and carrots for dinner. We finished the meal with (gluten free) pistachio cake for dessert. It was a very fun night with good friends and yummy food. Doesn't get much better than that. :)
Other than those things, me and Jordan have just been working and spending all the time we can together! Nothing else too exciting going on. Sorry for the lack of pictures. I'm too busy to even think sometimes. I am looking forward to buying Tangled this week! It's my goal to own every Disney movie someday. :) Anyway, hopefully I can keep up on blogging and not go so long again, but we'll see! I hope all is well with everyone! :)
