Last week, me, Jordan, and my whole family went on a cruise to Mexico! It was a blast. It was a week long cruise, which made it sooo hard to come back to work and school afterwards. (Yes, I'm going back to school again, yay me...but that's a whole other post haha.) Anyway, we had a blast. It was Jordan's first cruise so it was fun to experience things again with him. Pretty much we spent the whole week relaxing, which was just what the doctor ordered. We found our favorite deck and would go out there and just sit and watch the water for hours sometimes. It was awesome, one of the days, me, Jordan, Brit, and Elise were all outside on the deck and we saw a school of dolphins! They were jumping and swimming right next to our boat! It was awesome!!! There were like ten of them! Crazy cool. Brit has a picture of one, I'll have to get it from her sometime. Me and Jordan also saw jumping fish!! If you are not familiar with these, they are fish that literally jump out of the water and fly just above it for a good 100 feet before they plop back in the water again. You can see their wings flapping and everything! It's nuts!!
Other than relaxing, there was a lot of eating, karaoke-ing (my dad has video, I'll have to get that from him too), and shopping! Our favorite thing to do was to go shop in the flea markets at all of the ports. It was fun bargaining too! I got some cool stuff for cheap! Puerto Vallarta was pretty cool, Mazatlan had fun shopping, but Cabo was the prettiest. It was so gorgeous. We had to take a boat from our ship to land and the water was just beautiful. It was blasted hot while we were down there though, so don't mind my ugliness in all my pictures, but it was fun anyway! I held an iguana while in Cabo for my first time, that was weird and scaley. But he had a cute sombrero so I couldn't resist getting a picture.
Back to the karaoke subject, we did it almost every night and ended up on a first name basis with the DJ haha. Even Josh was up there rocking out to some Michael Jackson a few times! It was great. Got a little old in the end, but my grandparents and parents always wanted us girls to sing Dancing Queen (which is tradition so we couldn't refuse). It was a little scary having the DJ know us though because he liked to do this thing called "scaryoke" where he would just randomly call you up (even if you didn't sign up) and have you sing a song of his choice. Embarassing! He tried to do it to me, but I'll admit, I got my butt out of there before I could humiliate myself. He did it to my mom one night and she ended up singing "It's Raining Men." Hilarious stuff. I think Brit got that on video, I will need to get my hands on that one.
Well, I won't bore you with all of the details, but it was a great cruise and the food was excellent! I stuffed my face everyday and at dinner, I was known to order like three or four desserts! haha I didn't actually finish all of them, but there were so many that I wanted to try. It was really fun dressing up for the formal nights, although Jordan would have to disagree, he was such a humbug about it! haha But oh well! He did it, and looked mighty handsome too!
We are thinking our next cruise is going to be touring the Hawaiian islands, and then to Alaska. Should be so much fun. We definitely LOVE cruising!! Here are a few pictures in random order:
