Jordan's big weekend!

This past weekend was a very, very exciting and special weekend for Jordan! (and everyone else who loves and supports him) A week ago, he was interviewed and found worthy to hold the Melchizedek priesthood for our church. So this past Sunday (May 25th), he was ordained an Elder and now holds the highest priesthood. He is so proud and so are the rest of us! All of his family and friends are so proud of him and all the hard work and effort he has put into changing his life and the lives of others who are influenced by him. He is so excited to finally be an Elder. He has earned it. He will be a strong presence in the church and has the ability to touch other's lives so much. Rachelle can't even express how proud she is of her husband-to-be! She is just thrilled to have the priesthood in her home for her and their family together. Jordan is such a blessing to her. Rachelle loves him more than he will ever know! Here is a picture right after we got home from church. We are just glowing with excitement!

Wedding Open House

On May 10th, Rebecca Oaks (a VERY good friend of ours) threw us a wedding open house! It was a total blast. We had so many family and friends come---it was so good to see everyone and feel all of the love and support from them. We are so grateful to have such wonderful family and friends. We don't know what we would do without them.
Just to kind of sum up the events of that day, we started with lunch. (There was so much wonderful food!) We sat around and visited...listened to music. Then we started with the games. Rebecca had everyone that attended answer questions about me and Jordan to see how well they knew us and then presented the winner. (Rachelle's mom of course! She shouldn't have been allowed to play! haha) Then she played a game between Rachelle and Jordan to see how well we knew each other and how compatible we are. That was so much fun. Everytime the crowd voted that we got the answer wrong, she would give us a piece of gum. Somehow Rachelle ended up with the most gum! She could barely chew! haha. It was a lot of fun. Then we opened presents. We got so many wonderful things that me and Jordan were in need of! We are so grateful to everyone. Here are some pictures so you can see what a fun day we had.

Graduation

May 2nd was Rachelle's graduation from the University of Utah!! She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She is SO happy to finally be done with school! She is currently working for her grandfather still---and loving it---however, now that she has a degree, she is looking into getting a job at a Head Start school or Child Social Services for the government. Wahoo! Go class of 2008!

Italy

This is our very first blog so we are new at this! For starters we wanted to share with you our trip to Italy during October 2007. We got to travel there with Rachelle's grandparents. We stayed in Rome, Naples, and Florence and saw many other cute cities along the way! While in Rome, we went to see the Vatican on our second day there. When we were inside St. Peter's, Jordan stopped the tour guide, got down on one knee and asked Rachelle to be his wife! It was the most amazing experience. He even had a ring that Rachelle had picked out a while ago. We then drove up to Germany through Austria. The scenery was amazing. The trip was amazing. The towns were so old yet beautiful. Such a wonderful experience. We are so grateful we got to go!
